Academic Integrity

  • Provides support for and training toward an environment that values and sustains academic integrity
  • Administers the university-wide online Academic Integrity reporting process for student violation notifications
  • Maintains and updates extensive online resources for faculty (and students)

Alumni Sharing Knowledge

Career Center

  • Provide students with general knowledge and understanding about Career Center programs/services and career-related topics such as How to Work a Job Fair, Interview Preparation and Practice, and Resume and Cover Letter Writing
  • Provide students with information on career workshops and events that will help your students gain practical job skills

English Language Academy

  • Offers English courses and activities that meet the personal and professional goals of our international students
  • Courses include intensive English for success at DePaul, TOEFL intensive program, elective programs, and summer programs
  • Offers individualized English language needs assessment and recommendations
  • Provides in-services and workshops for faculty, staff and tutors working with not native speakers
  • Serves as clearinghouse for international student success/support resources at DePaul

Faculty Instructional Technology Services (FITS)

  • Prepares faculty for online teaching through faculty development programs (such as DOTS) and one-on-one consultation
  • Designs and develops online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses
  • Creates technology-rich materials to enhance the learning environment for online, blended and face-to-face courses
  • Develops and supports instructional information technologies
  • Provides support and training for the university's learning management system (D2L)

Financial Fitness

  • Provides resources to integrate financial planning into a curriculum including financial literacy workshops and events. Topics include Building Wealth, Post-Graduation Money Matters, and Loan Basics
  • Collaborates with the First Year Program Common Hour to teach incoming students about basic money management skills and financial planning

Media Production & Training (MPT)

Office of Diversity Education

  • Provides customized curricular workshops and dialogues to enhance students' understanding of diversity
  • Trains student leaders and employees to enhance their ability to understand and embrace difference and develop skills for cross-cultural interaction
  • Co-sponsors a Cultural Competence & Leadership Certificate program with Student Leadership Institute
  • Facilitates one-hour Common Hour workshops around diversity and culture for all first-year students enrolled in Chicago Quarter courses

Office of Faculty Development & Research

  • Supports development, promotion, and retention of faculty through programs, resources, and guidelines
  • Provides coordination and oversight of internal & external funding programs in the areas of teaching, research and public service
  • Ensures that DePaul complies with federal regulations governing the university's research activities
  • Provides advocacy in developing leadership initiatives for underrepresented racial and ethnic groups

Office for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA)

  • Shares research on teaching and learning
  • Provides services, resources and events focused on best practices in teaching
  • Enhances student learning through Supplemental Instruction and other collaborative learning programs
  • Supports DePaul’s faculty, departments and programs, liberal studies domains, and schools and colleges in the assessment of student learning
  • Conducts studies that advance our understanding of student learning at DePaul
  • Works to ensure that the University’s assessment process meets the expectations of our regional accrediting body

Steans Center for Community-Based Service Learning and Community Service Studies

  • Supports faculty in the development, administration, and teaching of courses that integrate service-learning pedagogy
  • Identifies project opportunities at non-profit organizations
  • Provides ongoing logistical support for faculty teaching a service learning course
  • Offers workshops on reflective practice for service-learning integration.
  • Assists faculty in developing community-based research projects that integrate teaching and research
  • Supports a faculty community-based research fellowship program that incorporates teaching, research, scholarly publications and conference publications

Student Records

  • Provides an online portal for faculty to access relevant student records, such as attendance verification reports, class schedules and rosters, and grades
  • Offers information and training on FERPA compliance
  • Tracks students' progress with Degree Progress Reports

University Center for Writing-based Learning

  • Works with all members of the DePaul community to support writers and promote the use of writing in teaching and learning 
  • Offers individual consultations to faculty designing or revising writing assignments
  • Facilitates in-class workshops on ePortfolios, peer review, proper citation, and more 
  • Offers copy editing services to faculty whose writing projects have been accepted by a journal or press for publication

University Internship & Co-op Program

  • Supports faculty throughout DePaul in developing, enhancing and maintaining high-quality academic internship programs
  • Advises faculty in the development and teaching of academic internship courses

University Libraries

  • Fosters student learning and engagement through information literacy instruction and collaborative research assignment design, in-person and online reference services, and research consultations
  • Supports the curriculum with cutting-edge resources and manages, preserves, and provides access to scholarly information in a variety of formats and media
  • Promotes new forms of scholarly communication and publishing and preserves DePaul's history by acting as a repository for materials documenting DePaul's Vincentian, academic, social and cultural endeavors
  • Leverages new information technologies to enrich teaching, learning, and collaboration
  • Provides a variety of physical and virtual spaces for the DePaul University community
