Which clicker system does DePaul use?
After an extended review by the Teaching, Learning, and Technology committee, DePaul chose the i-Clicker as its standard classroom response system.
Which rooms are clicker-ready?
Many DePaul classrooms have receiving stations already installed as part of standard classroom technology; faculty teaching in non-equipped classroooms will need to plug in a portable station before each class.
How do I receive technical training on clickers?
Media Production & Training (MPT) delivers technical training, including:
- One-on-one consultation.
- More information about how the i-clicker systems work.
- Please refer to the schedule to identify and register for i-clicker training opportunities.
How do I prepare my students?
- Order clickers along with your textbook from the University bookstore. (Note: some publishers offer discounted "bundles" of clickers and textbooks; you may want to talk to the bookstore textbook managers to learn what options are available).
- Include information about the clickers in your syllabus. For example, you will want to list the clickers under "required materials" and to inform students of how they will be used.
But what if I just want to try clickers?
Contact Media Production & Training to borrow clickers and a portable receiving station for a trial period.
